Session boxes for Gold (XAUUSD), forex and any symbol: the indicator draws one box for the Asian, London and New York sessions of each day, from the high to the low of the bars inside the session hours, in your broker server time.
The high and the low of every session are extended to the right as dotted lines, so you see where Asia topped out when London opens, or where London left its range when New York starts. Each box carries the session name and its range in points.
It only draws. It does not give signals and it does not trade. The hours are server hours, so check the clock of your broker before you trust the boxes: a broker on GMT+2 and one on GMT+3 put London one hour apart.

Settings
Sessions
- Days to draw back from today (10): calendar days, weekends just stay empty.
- Asian session (true), start hour (0) and end hour (9).
- London session (true), start hour (8) and end hour (17).
- New York session (true), start hour (13) and end hour (22).
- If the end hour is lower than the start hour, the session crosses midnight and the box continues on the next day.
Display
- Box color for each session and Fill the boxes (true).
- Extend the high and low of each session to the right (true) and Bars to extend the lines (24).
- Show the session name (true) and Show the range of the session in points (true).
- Font, Font size (8) and Text color.
Indicator settings
- Object prefix (XP_SES_): change it to run two copies on the same chart, for example one with the Frankfurt or Tokyo hours.
What it needs
- MetaTrader 5, any symbol. It draws with rectangles, trend lines and text objects, no buffers.
- The range is in points, so check the digits of your symbol. On a gold quote with 2 decimals 1000 points are 10.00 in price.
- It rebuilds the boxes once per new bar, not on every tick, so it stays light on M1.
- Use it from M5 to H1. On H4 and above one bar covers most of a session and the boxes lose detail.
Make it yours
Set the hours to your broker and watch how XAUUSD, EURUSD, GBPUSD, US30 and NAS100 behave around the London open and the New York open. The high and low of Asia are the levels many traders use for London breakouts, and the session high and low are a simple base for support and resistance or for Smart Money Concepts liquidity zones. The loop that reads the high and low between two times can be reused in an EA as a session filter. For structure breaks on the same chart, add my Smart Money Concepts BOS CHoCH.
